Rice Recipe - 1) Wash 1 cup (250 g) Basmati Rice. 2) In a vessel add 4 - 5 cups of water (about 1 litre), 1 tsp salt, few drops of lemon juice and 1 tbsp oil. 3) Mix well and cook for 8 - 10 minutes. Check the rice, it should be slightly underdone. 4) Drain and cool in running water. Drain for a few minutes. 5) Biryani rice is ready.
Wash and soak 250 g of Basmati rice for 15 - 20 minutes, then drain the water. In a microwave safe bowl add 2½ cups of water (650 ml), 2 - 3 tbsps curd, the entire contents of Vegetable Biryani Mix, soaked rice, 250 g of chopped vegetables, like potato, green peas, carrot and french beans and 2 tbsps ghee (Clarified Butter). Mix well. Cook covered bowl in the microwave at 100% power/high for 10 - 12 minutes. Stir occasionally. Warm further at 100% power/high for another 1 - 2 minutes and serve.
Take 250 g of cut vegetables, like potato, green peas, french beans, cauliflower and carrot, the entire contents of Vegetable Biryani Mix and 2 - 3 tbsps of curd. Mix well. Transfer the above mixture in a medium sized pan with 1 cup of water (250 ml). Bring the contents to boil. Then simmer on a low flame for 6 - 7 minutes. Stop cooking. Separately cook the Basmati rice and spread on the cooked vegetable mixture. Mix lightly along with 2-3 tbsps ghee (Clarified Butter). Cover the vessel and simmer on a low flame for 5 minutes and serve.
